Sen. Bernard Sanders signaled he does not believe Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s about-face on vaccines as he pressed the health secretary nominee on anti-vaccine onesies the nonprofit he founded is selling.

Mr. Kennedy has claimed during his confirmation before the Senate Finance Committee that he is not anti-vaccine.

Mr. Sanders, Vermont independent, cast doubt on those claims and pointed to the nonprofit he founded, the Children’s Health Defense, which has promoted anti-vaccine views and is selling onesies for babies that are casting doubt on the usefulness of vaccines.

Propped up behind Mr. Sanders during his questioning were poster boards picturing two onesies that said “unvaxed, unafraid” and “no vax, no problem.”

The Children’s Health Defense is selling the onesies for $26, Mr. Sanders said, asking Mr. Kennedy if he would have the organization take them down.

Mr. Kennedy said he has “no power” to do so, given he resigned from the group’s board months ago.

The Children’s Health Defense fund still promotes Mr. Kennedy on its website and on Wednesday had a live link to watch his confirmation hearing on CHD TV.

Mr. Sanders asked Mr. Kennedy if he supports the onesies.

“I’m supportive of vaccines,” Mr. Kennedy said.
