A protester was removed from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing on Wednesday after disrupting his opening statement by shouting, “He lies!”

Mr. Kennedy is testifying before the Senate Finance Committee, his first of two confirmation hearings in as many days.

He was telling senators that news reports claiming he’s anti-vaccine and anti-industry aren’t true. That’s when a female protester interrupted.

“He lies!” she shouted. “First do no harm.”

U.S. Capitol Police dragged the woman out of the hearing room as she continued shouting, then the hearing quickly resumed without further disruption.

The peace was short-lived as another female protester interrupted the hearing as Senate Finance ranking member Ron Wyden, Oregon Democrat, questioned Mr. Kennedy on his history of questioning the efficacy of vaccines.

The woman referenced the suffering of children as she urged senators to oppose Mr. Kennedy’s confirmation. Capitol Police also removed her from the hearing room.
